> This feature is in project v2, which is not yet available to all companies. All guides about project v2 are collected under [Project v2](/en/projekt/projekt-v2).

In project v2 every project has its own activities. You give the activity any name you like, for example "Project management", and link it to one of the company's activities, which is then called the base activity. Three tabs on the project work together:

- **Activities.** Which activities the project has.
- **Project members.** Who may report time, and on which activities.
- **Prices.** What each activity costs, per activity or per person.

Work in that order. A member can only get activities that exist, and a project member price requires that the person has the activity.

Remember to save the project when you are done. The changes on the tabs are not saved until you do.

## Activities

### Project activity and base activity

The project activity is what the person reporting time sees, and it is what appears on the invoice specification. The base activity controls the rest: among other things the accounting, and whether the time is invoiceable or affects payroll. Several project activities can share the same base activity.

The price is not inherited from the base activity. It is set on the project, see [Prices](#prices).

In project v2, time is reported only on the project's own activities, not directly on the company's.

### Create an activity

1. Go to the **Activities** tab and click **Create activity**.
2. Fill in the fields:
   - **Name**. Free text, but unique among the project's active activities. It may be the same as the name of the base activity.
   - **Base activity**. Choose among the company's active activities.
   - **Description**. Optional.
   - **Text on the invoice**. Only shown if the base activity is invoiceable. If you leave the field empty, the name of the activity is used.
   - **Customer invoice price/h** and, if you have subcontractors, **Self-billing price/h**. On a group project there is also **Internal invoice price/h**. The price fields are only shown if the base activity is invoiceable.
   - **Price valid from**. Today's date is preselected.
3. **Add this for all project members** is ticked from the start. Everyone who is already a member then gets the new activity.
4. Click **OK** and save the project.

### Fetch an activity from a price list

If a price list is chosen on the **General** tab, you can click **Fetch activity from price list**. The name, base activity, description, invoice text and customer price are then fetched from the price row. The project and the price list must have the same currency. See [Price lists](/en/projekt/prislistor).

### Change an activity

Click the pencil on the row to change the name, base activity, description, invoice text and **Category tagging of payroll**.

- **The name** can only be changed after the project has been saved following the creation of the activity.
- **The base activity** can be changed as long as no time has been reported on the activity.

### Delete an activity

Click the trash can. The activity is deactivated: time that has already been reported stays, but no new time can be reported on it. The name becomes free, so a new activity can have the same name.

## Project members

The tab is called **Project members** and has the heading **Who can report on what?**.

1. Search for the user in the **User** column. A new empty row appears for the next person.
2. Choose one or more of the project's activities under **Activities**. The member can only report time on those.
3. Save the project.

On an internal project there is also **Allow all users to report on this project**. All users who report time in the company can then report on all of the project's activities, and the member list is not needed.

If you remove a member with the trash can, the price history stays. If you add the person again, the old details come back.

### Income allocation

If the company has the optional feature income allocation, the **Income allocation** column is shown on external projects. **Standard** means that the value comes from the user's time reporting settings and follows along if they change. Click the pencil and choose **Override in this project** to set a percentage of your own for this project only. For subcontractors it says **Subcontractor**.

## Prices

The **Prices** tab is available on external customer projects. It has two tables:

- **Activity prices.** One price per activity, which applies to everyone who reports on it.
- **Project member prices.** A price for a certain person on a certain activity. The table is shown when there is at least one project member price.

Every price has a date from which it applies. Turn on **Show future prices** to see the current price, the future price and the date when the future price starts to apply.

### Which price applies?

The project member price takes precedence over the activity price. The price is chosen by the day the time was reported, not the day it is authorised. See [Project prices: valid-from date](/en/underkonsulter/projektpriser-giltigt-fran-datum).

### Add a project member price

1. Click **Add project member price**.
2. Choose **Project member** and one or more **Activities**, or **Select all**. You can only choose activities that the member has and that have no project member price.
3. Fill in the prices and **Price valid from**, and click **Save**.

### Change several prices at once

1. Select the rows and click **Update selected prices**.
2. Enter new amounts, or turn on **Percentual adjustment** to raise the prices by a percentage. You then also choose rounding and which price types to update.
3. Enter **Valid from**. It is mandatory.
4. Click **Update** and save the project.

If a price list is linked to the project, its next price adjustment date is shown in the dialog. At the bottom of the tab you can see when the latest price change was made. All changes are shown in the report [Detailed price adjustment history](/en/rapporter/detaljerad-prisandringshistorik).
