Project phases

In Kleer a project can be divided into phases.

Phases make it possible to structure the work in a project and to control on which parts of the project time may be reported. This manual describes how you add phases to a project and how you administer the phase types that you can choose between.

Phases on the project

Phases are managed under the Phases tab inside the project.

  1. Open the project and go to the Phases tab.
  2. Click the plus sign (+) to add a new phase. A new row is added to the table.
  3. Fill in the fields on the row:
    • Name: the name of the phase.
    • Type: the phase type. Choose in the list. It is controlled by the phase types that have been set up (see below).
    • Open for reporting: tick to allow time to be reported on the phase. Untick to close the phase for reporting without deleting it.
  4. Add more phases by clicking the plus sign on the last row.
  5. Delete a phase with the trash can icon at the far right of the row.

Allow time reporting without a phase

When a project has at least one phase, the setting Allow time reporting without phase is shown at the top of the tab.

  • If it is ticked, time can be reported on the project even without choosing a phase.
  • If it is not ticked, a phase must always be stated when time is reported on the project.

Administer phase types

The types you can choose for a phase are controlled by the phase types that have been set up for the company. They are managed under the settings.

  1. Go to the Phase types page in the settings.
  2. Click New phase type to create a new type.
  3. Enter a Name in the Phase type dialog and click Save.
  4. Click the name of an existing phase type in the list to edit it.

If no phase types have been set up, the message There are no phase types yet. is shown.
