Segregation of duties
How does segregation of duties (dualitet) work in Kleer?
What does segregation of duties mean in Kleer?
The function means that one person in the company cannot do both authorisation and payment on one and the same document.
The function applies to supplier invoices, salaries and expenses. It cannot be limited to a specific module, and for the moment it applies to all three together.
The function has no amount limit and therefore applies to all documents that are to be authorised and paid.
How is the function switched on?
Contact your Kleer consultant and they will help you.
When the function is switched on, the column Authorised by is added to the payment views for salaries and expenses, so that you see who authorised before you pay. The payment view for supplier invoices always has a corresponding column, âFinal authoriserâ, whether segregation of duties is switched on or not.
One exception is worth knowing about: supplier invoices that are paid by direct debit are not covered by the check. They are paid automatically in connection with authorisation, so there is no separate payment step to keep apart.
