The start page and default dashboards

What the widgets on the start page show, with the dashboards My salary and expenses and My time reporting, and how to read the vacation charts.

When you log in to Kleer you land on the start page. It shows a dashboard, a collection of widgets with charts and key figures about you or about the company. Which dashboards you see depends on your role.

Default dashboards

Every company gets three dashboards when it is created in Kleer.

Dashboard Who sees it Content
Finance managers Finance manager, Administrator and Auditor Revenue and costs, result, cash and the biggest customers
My salary and expenses Anyone with the role Payroll or Expenses Your vacation, your expenses and your salary
My time reporting Anyone with the role Time reporting Your reported time and your key figures

A finance manager can change the dashboards and create new ones, so in your company they may look different from here.

If you have access to several dashboards, switch with the button at the top of the start page, which shows the name of the dashboard you are looking at. Kleer remembers your choice in the browser you use.

A widget is only shown if you have the role it requires. If you only have the role Time reporting, for example, you see the first two widgets on My time reporting, but not the key figures.

My salary and expenses

Widget Requires the role What it shows
Vacation right now Payroll Your vacation today, split into remaining paid, saved, advance and unpaid days, and days you have taken. See Vacation charts
Vacation overview Payroll How your vacation develops over twelve months, roughly six months back and six months ahead. See Vacation charts
Expenses per category, last 12 months Expenses Your expenses including VAT, split by category. Mileage allowance and per diem allowance are shown as separate categories
Total expenses, last 12 months Expenses Your expenses including VAT per month
Accumulated salary for the current year Payroll Gross salary, net salary and tax, in SEK and as a percentage, summed from the start of the year. Only salaries that have been paid out count, on the day of payment

Expenses are counted on the date of the expense, not on when they were paid out.

My time reporting

Widget Requires the role What it shows
Reported time per project Time reporting Your hours per project and month for the last twelve months. Time without a project is collected as Absence
Reported time per activity Time reporting Your hours per activity and month for the last twelve months
Key figures per month Payroll Invoicing rate and billing rate per month for the last twelve months
Key figures accumulated Payroll The same two key figures for the year to date
Reported time per month Payroll Scheduled and invoiced hours as lines, and billable time, non-billable time and absence as bars, per month
Reported time accumulated Payroll The same hours summed for the year to date

The key figures are only calculated on authorised time.

  • Invoicing rate is invoiced hours divided by billable hours. It shows how much of the billable time has actually been invoiced.
  • Billing rate is calculated the way the company has chosen under Settings > KPIs. See Key figures for time.

Vacation charts

Both vacation widgets count in days and start from your vacation year, which does not have to be the same as the calendar year.

In the chart What it means
Remaining paid days Paid vacation days for this vacation year that you can take
Saved from earlier years Saved days from earlier vacation years that you can take
Remaining advance days Advance days that are left this vacation year
Remaining unpaid days Unpaid vacation days that are left this vacation year
Vacation taken Days you have taken
Remaining earned vacation Only in Vacation overview. All the days you have earned but not taken, that is saved days and days that have not become paid yet. The value can be negative if you have taken more days than you have earned

Vacation right now

A pie chart of the situation today. It shows how your days are split between remaining paid, saved, advance and unpaid days, and days you have already taken. The chart is empty if you are not employed in payroll.

Vacation overview

A chart over twelve months, roughly six months back and six months ahead.

  • The lines show the balances month by month.
  • The bars show how many days you took in that particular month.
  • Vacation you have already registered in the future is included, so the chart shows what the balance will be after it.
  • Months when you were not employed are skipped.

If a balance looks wrong, it is the same figures as in payroll that apply. Your payroll administrator can see them in the vacation reports.

Change a dashboard

A finance manager with write permission can change the dashboards. Click the ‱‱‱ menu at the top right of the start page.

Option What it does
Create a new dashboard A new dashboard with a name, layout, the roles that should see it and the widgets it should have
Edit this dashboard Changes the name, layout, who sees it and which widgets are shown, and in what order
Delete this dashboard Removes the dashboard for everyone who has access to it
Edit and create new widgets Opens Settings > Widgets

A dashboard without roles is visible to everyone in the company.

Each widget has its own ‱‱‱ menu. There everyone can choose Maximize widget to see it in a larger format, and a finance manager can choose Delete from the dashboard.

The Cash in bank widget lists the company’s active bank accounts and shows one at a time. Account 1930 is preselected if the company has it, otherwise the lowest account number. The other accounts follow in account number order. If you want another account first and preselected when the page loads, a finance manager can choose it under Settings > Widgets. Open the widget and choose the account in the Account shown first field. Everyone in the company sees the same order. If you choose no account, the preselection works as before, and the setting only changes the order, not which accounts are listed.

If the company wants its own widgets, it is described in How to create your own widgets in Kleer. Which roles exist and what they give access to is described in Introduction to permissions.
