Swedbank: bank connection

How you activate the Swedbank integration, send agreement numbers to Kleer, and what applies to Swedbank and the savings banks (Sparbankerna).

A summary of what applies if you want to connect your bank accounts to Kleer through Swedbank’s ISO integration

Swedbank customer in Kleer

If you are a customer of Swedbank, you can connect your bank accounts to Kleer through an ISO20022 integration. It makes it possible to fetch account events and balances and to send payments. To activate this, you sign an agreement with Swedbank. Read the information below to make sure the bank connection is set up correctly.

1. Activate the integration

Contact your contact person at your local bank branch with the information in the appendix below to start the process. The connection is made in two steps if both integration for supplier payments and for salaries are to be included:

Steps to connect: Salary

  • To get started you need to sign the following agreements:
    • Anslutning Företag, Utbetalningar Företag and Fullmakt avseende Löner (connection for companies, payouts for companies and power of attorney regarding salaries)
  • The bank connects you to Kleer’s bank integration
  • When the connection is complete, your bank contact hands over a Utbetalningar Företag agreement to you.
  • For salaries, the bank connects you through a power of attorney to Kleer
  • After the agreements have been set up, you need to give the agreement number for Utbetalningar Företag to Kleer.

Steps to connect: Supplier payments

  • To get started you need to sign the following agreements:
    • ISO agreement (BL4942) for supplier payments
  • The bank connects you to Kleer’s bank integration
  • When the connection is complete, your bank contact hands over a Payment agreement (B-avtal) and a Reporting agreement (R-avtal) to you.
  • For supplier payments, the bank connects you to Kleer’s File transfer agreement (F-avtal): 065568303324F001

It takes about 1 to 3 banking days to connect you to Kleer’s bank integration.

2. Send the agreement number to a contact person at Kleer

Contact your Kleer consultant and state the agreement number you received from the bank, and it will be linked to your bank integration.

What is ISO20022?

An ISO integration is a standardised connection between a bank and a business system, where the systems communicate using the ISO20022 format.

The business system sends files in XML format (pain.001) to the bank for each payment order that is created.

The bank then replies by sending a response file (pain.002) to the business system, which either confirms that the payment format is approved or rejects the file if, for example, the payment details are not valid.

When a payment has then been carried out, the bank reports back by file to the business system that the payment has been carried out, so that it can be reconciled. The reporting files also include daily balance updates.

A reporting file (camt.053) is sent every night and contains the previous banking day’s transactions, and the opening and closing balance.

ISO services offered in Kleer’s bank integration:

  • Payment orders (Pain.001)
  • Approving payment orders in the internet bank is optional, tell the bank whether you want to do this or not.
  • Status file (Pain.002)
  • Reporting back of salary payouts (CAMT.054 Debit)
  • Account information, including detailed information for transactions (CAMT.053 Extended)

Good to know:

  • The ISO connection is activated when we receive an activation file from Swedbank in connection with the integration being activated on their side.
  • Accounts are then created automatically if they did not exist before
  • You can agree with your bank contact to set the activation date later (for example after the month end).
  • If you change systems, a new agreement is needed with the new service bureau
  • You can have agreements with two different systems
  • The reporting is per account, it is not possible to get reporting back at bankgiro number level

Signing payments

In the agreement set-up you can choose whether you want to sign your payments in the bank or only in Kleer (login with BankID for the payment manager)

Question: Is there a general email address to contact about the integration, or does the contact person at the local bank branch always apply?

Answer: Yes, you can also call the telephone bank to get help with agreements.
