Foreign sales
The Foreign sales report lists sales to buyers in other countries, row by row, with country of supply, amount and VAT rate.
This is the basis you turn to when the periodic report or the VAT report needs to be reconciled against individual vouchers.
The report is only shown for companies that have foreign sales set up.
What the report shows
At the top, Date shows the period you have chosen. Then follows one row per transaction, with ten columns.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Country code | The buyerâs country code. |
| Voucher | The voucher the transaction was posted on. |
| Accounting date | The date the transaction was posted. |
| Amount | The amount in the invoice currency. |
| VAT | The VAT in the invoice currency. |
| Currency | The invoice currency. |
| Amount (accounting currency) | The same amount converted into the companyâs accounting currency. The column heading shows the currency. |
| VAT (accounting currency) | The same VAT converted into the companyâs accounting currency. |
| VAT rate (%) | The VAT rate on the row. |
| Purchase type | Whether the row is for goods or services. |
Invoices in a foreign currency are therefore shown twice, in their own currency and in the accounting currency, so you can reconcile against both the invoice and the accounting without converting yourself.
The rows are shown one hundred at a time. If there are more, use the page selector above and below the table to move between pages.
How to use the report
- Enter From and To for the period. Both are required, and the report shows nothing until they are set.
- If you want to see a single country, choose it in the Territoriality list. The list is searchable, and the options are shown as country name - country code. If you leave the field empty, all countries are included.
- Click Show.
If there are no sales in the selection, it says No information instead of an empty table.
You can also download the report with Export to PDF or Export to Excel. The export includes all rows, not just the page you are looking at.
