Salary report, reporting absence and time
Report absence and time in the salary report, preview it and approve.
The salary report is where you as an employee report what affects your salary, and where you approve the month before it is run.
Report in the salary report
Absence and the time that affects your salary are reported here. What is shown depends on your form of employment: for a monthly paid employee it is in practice deviations that are reported, while an hourly paid employee reports the time that should give salary.
If you are applying for leave, you do that in Absence requests instead, and the approved leave then ends up in the salary report automatically.
Preview and approve
Before you approve, you can preview the salary and see what the outcome will be. This is where deviations are discovered, and it is considerably easier to correct them before the payroll run than after it.
You can browse between months, which is useful for comparing with the previous month when something looks unexpected.
When the month is correct, you approve it. Approving is what releases it on to authorisation.
Report time as an hourly paid employee
If you are hourly paid, the reporting is what gives salary. No reported time means no salary that month, so there is no base level that is paid out by itself.
See Adding a new user: hourly pay and percentage rule for what the contract looks like behind the scenes.
If something is missing
If an absence you applied for is missing, check that the application has actually been approved by your manager. An application that is still waiting for approval does not reach the payroll.
If an expense is missing, it is usually because it has not been authorised yet. See The monthly report for what the report covers.
